The Misericordia School, a private, Catholic school sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, prepares young women and men from all religious and socioeconomic backgrounds for the health sciences workforce and postsecondary educational success.

Compelled by Mercy and inspired by faith, our entire school community is a voice for dignity and respect, which will be manifest in the lives of our students as they courageously embrace a passion for the possible in their chosen fields.

At Misericordia, we believe that…

  • every individual has inherent worth and dignity.
  •  spiritual and moral development is absolutely essential.
  • our students are blessed with gifts that can be served through vocational education.
  • risk taking is essential for school improvement.
  • within a culturally diverse environment we can build respect for one another’s background, and work to undo systemic oppression.
  • life-long learning is a shared responsibility of students, teachers, family, and community.
  • all students are an investment in the future.
  • we are called to the mutual benefits that come with assisting others in their needs.

Core Values of a Mercy Education

Our Core Values are the hallmarks of a Mercy Education. These are the ideals we stand up for and strive to live up to. We hold ourselves to these standards as an institution, as a community and as individuals. Each value is interconnected and necessary as we take Mercy into the world.
